Mollies grow to a maximum of 3-5 inches, with sailfins having the potential to reach 6 inches.

Temperament: They are active and friendly fish, and will come to the front of the tank to say hello! Males can be aggressive if there are not enough females around, so it’s preferable to keep them same sex, or keep the ratio of males to females low. This is to prevent males fighting for dominance, and to make sure the females aren’t exhausted by being the centre of attention.

Temperature: 20-28c

Food: They are omnivorous. Pellets, flakes and invertebrates. Make sure they get a balanced diet as they can be prone to bloating.

Fun Fact: Mollies love plants, and will peck at the leaves to eat the algae growing on them. Make sure they have live plants and hiding spots they can relax in.
